Walk away the stress – Walk tomorrow!
Love makes me demented – and I honestly find it hard to focus on myself. But walking helps…
One foot in front of the other. You are the only one who controls whether you start or stop – and if you carry on.
When I have been really crazy I have only been able to focus on my feet and putting one foot in front of the other (say when I had a panic attack).
Next I tried focusing on my breath – if you exhale your body has to inhale – so I tried focusing on this.
As I was able to gain a bit of focus I was able to look around me (not possible when I had panic attacks and I thought I couldn’t trust anyone on the street or on the pavement).
When you can look around – noticing sounds, buildings, nature……I began to realise that there is so much of interest and beauty. While walking you can always spot something new!
I’ve met some brilliant people while walking on my own – sometimes they’ve joined for a short while and then left. But most of the time I’ve been on my own – pacing throughout London.
